Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers hosted an open house and vendor fair on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The event hosted our clients, caregivers, families, participants, vendors and community members interested in learning more about our services. The event was a huge success!
Our staff, the families and caregivers, as well as members of the community joined together in support of Nevada senior and disabled citizens. Organizations such as AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association, The Electronic Caregiver, and many more were featured at the vendor fair. Nevada State Agencies and an attorney were present to answer any and all questions regarding adult day health care services and other options for caring for your elderly and disabled loved ones. David Karel was also present and spoke about the newest updates in Medicaid and Medicare.
Raffle tickets were sold to raise funds for the Independent Senior Foundation which helps make adult day care services affordable for families with loved ones who need services like the ones Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers provides. The foundation was created to assist those with financial difficulties that prevent them from being able to afford quality adult day care for parents and/ or children. Everyone who needs help should be able to receive it, which is why the staff at Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers works hard to put together events like the open house.
The center also used this event as an opportunity to answer any and all questions about its services and program benefits with anyone who was interested. The event was hosted with people like YOU in mind – community members, families, and caregivers who are looking for information regarding adult day care services. The event helped many community members get the information they need to make an educated decision regarding proper care for their loved one.
