Chris Vito, our CEO and proclaimed “health care romantic,” imagined and created a place where adults with disabilities and senior citizens could go to have their daily needs taken care of and have fun at the same time. Our programs include nursing services and assistance with activities of daily living, along with engaging events meant to socialize, stimulate, educate and exercise our participants. Including social and educational services in our programs is what makes Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers stand out above the rest. Our participants love to come to our adult day care centers to have fun and be in a safe environment at the same time, bringing care for the mind and spirit together under one roof.
Chris Vito and Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers History
Vito is a former hospital executive with over 30 years experience in the medical industry. Vito and his wife Christina, a registered nurse, first opened Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers for business in 2003, and they never looked back. They envisioned coupling healthcare and daycare into one service that would truly provide help for Las Vegas citizens by providing an all-in-one package that includes nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, health education, social and recreational activities, and more. See a list of all our adult day care services here.
Now, 13 years and three active locations across the Vegas valley later, they continue to provide assistance to disabled adults and elderly adults.
Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Visit to Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers
During the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s visit to Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers, one of our long-time participants Keaton, and his mother were there. They spoke of the importance for her son, who was born with cerebral palsy, to have social interaction. She spent time searching for alternatives for her son to get the social engagement he needed.
When she found Nevada Adult Day Health Care, she states, “The moment I walked in the door, I could tell. It was such a relief to have a place where he’s cared for.” She no longer had to “do it all” when it comes to caring for her son, which provided her the relief and help she needed. Learn more about Keaton’s story here.
People of different ages will need different services, which is why we provide our participants with the opportunity to join our Annex Program that focuses on intellectually disabled, the Expression Program that focuses on teaching new skills to young adults, and the Elderly Care Program that provides resources for elderly to maintain cognitive function and mobility.
Chris Vito is the CEO and president of our senior care facilities, while Christina is the administrator and director of nursing. Together, they established a family welcome to elderly and disabled participants 18 years and older who need daily care. The cost of attending Nevada Adult Day Healthcare is less expensive than other forms of adult care, including nursing homes, at-home caregivers and even assisted living apartments. To further help participants afford these services, Chris Vito founded a nonprofit, called Independent Senior Foundation, to help fund a certain number of adult day care scholarships.
Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers Mission
For Chris, Christina, and the staff at Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers, our goal is simple: Keep our participants happy and healthy, maintain their sense of independence and well-being. If that is a service that sounds right for your loved one, we invite you to stop by for a tour of one of our adult care facilities and make an appointment to learn more.
