When did you start work at Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers?

I started my position on July 1, 2016.

What do you like about being part of an adult day care staff? What’s your favorite part of the job?

I like being able to give families who enroll their loved ones a sense of relief. My favorite part of working as an adult day care staff member is coming to work and being greeted with lots of smiles and hugs from our clients and staff.

Why is senior care important?

Senior and adult care is very important because every family has responsibilities: a job, school, children and sometimes they need a break from taking care of their loved ones. At Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers, we believe that our seniors need socialization. We help stimulate their mind and educate by creating fun activities and encouraging exercise for rehabilitation. All these senior day care activities keep them active and stay healthier for longer, keeping them from going to a nursing home or hospice.

Anything you’d like to share? A story or something you’ve learned from your time here?

One thing I have learned since I started as adult day care staff at Nevada Adult Day Healthcare Centers is AWARENESS. Our Las Vegas community lacks awareness about services like NADHC. Families with autistic children, down syndrome, or anyone who has a disability aged 18 years or older can benefit from our senior day care facility. We are thankful for social workers, case managers and doctors who refer families to adult day care staff and services.
