Americans with Disabilities Act

The American Disabilities Act (ADA) is a civil rights law dedicated to protecting the rights of disabled adults in the United States. This law, first passed in 1990, prohibits the discrimination against adults with disabilities in all areas of public life, including employment, education, transportation, public places and private places that are open to the public. The ADA is celebrating its 26th anniversary July 2016, and 26 years of servicing and protecting American citizens with disabilities.
